The Admission Office is in full swing all summer
Especially at this time of year, we are acutely aware of our Applewild students’ growth over the year, and the strength and depth of an Applewild education. Just one example is the day we experienced yesterday immersed in their outstanding musical performances! Please continue to talk about Applewild with families you know who are looking for opportunities for their children. It is common for prospective parents to assume that an Applewild education is out of their reach, but as we know, it is so often not the case. Please encourage parents to call me to talk about their interests. I will be meeting with parents and giving individual tours throughout the summer.
Take a Look Mornings continue during the summer
Always the first Thursday of every month at 9:00am, Take a Look Mornings for prospective families will continue during the summer months. The next one is June 7, and this one is the remaining Take a Look during which visitors will see classes in session, so we encourage visits then. Again, thank-you to the many Applewild families who continue to refer families to Applewild. We know that is the best way of spreading the Applewild word!
Summer Camp registration is ongoing
Registration continues for all of the summer programs. Please see our website for full information. Girls finishing 4th grade and up who are interested in developing athletic skills and enjoying the ability to focus on one or two sports are invited to participate in the two-week session of Girls Field Hockey & Lacrosse Camp. This camp goal is to introduce and enhance skills, as well as to develop game situation instincts. Any skill level is welcome! Please note that these campers may choose to participate in one or both of the sports, and attend Adventure Camp the other half of the day. The Writing Institute for young writers, is for students finishing 4th grade and up who are eager to spend two weeks developing stories, taking inspiration from favorite authors, and enjoying the time to really focus on writing! Adventure Camp is offered for 3 two-week sessions, and offers great opportunities for Junior Campers (entering Kindergarten and 1st grade) and Senior Campers (entering grades 2 through 9) as well as CIT’s, who will develop leadership skills. Computing for Seniors is a great two-week opportunity for senior citizens to develop, or hone, their computing skills in the Applewild environment!
